T-Ball

Today Carson played his last T-Ball game of the season. What a difference from last season! Carson has really improved both in how well he plays and his maturity level on the field (translate that into far less throwing the glove in the air, digging in the dirt, spinning in circles...). He really seems to understand his responsibility at each position and the general rules of baseball now. This was evident a couple of games ago when he was thoroughly confused as to why the kid he tagged out would not go sit down in the dugout!

There are a few people who are probably not terribly sad to get a break from T-Ball until Spring - that Team Mom had her hands full! (Love you honey...thanks for 'stepping up to the plate')

Fun little clip from his the game today:

Mmmmm.... frosting!

We have carried on the tradition of placing a cake/cupcake in front of our kids on their 1st birthday and seeing how they react. For the only child that nursed right up to the 12-month mark, London sure seems to know how to take down a bit of Rainbow Chip cake covered in sugary goodness.

Home cleaning

If only Carson would keep the gameroom as clean as home plate!

Ballet

Last week Hailey had her first day of Ballet! Of course I had to take pictures before we could go!

Of course she wanted the pink leotard and skirt...is there really any other color? ;)

Showing me some ballet moves before she goes to her class.

I peeked into class just a few minutes before it was over.

Here she is getting her sticker for dancing that day! It's so cute, they have to do a curtsy before they can get their sticker!

First Day of School

I'm late posting, but I had to show the grandparents the adorable back to school photos! Carson was really excited about his new school. He is doing pre-k at the WLC. Hailey is doing Mother Goose Time with some friends. (I teach next week, yay!)

Two stinking cute kiddos!

Walking out the door to get in the car. Hurry mom!

"YES! Finally I get to go to school this year!"

I think her backpack is almost bigger than her!

Carson, doesn't look quite as small as he did last time I took school pictures. My little boy's growing up!

Backpack station? Check. Awesome folder? Check. Smile? Check.

Hailey

I know many of you asked us to keep you informed with Hailey's surgery. We are hoping this was the final one. We are home from the hospital and we are so pleased with how everything went. We did not tell her about the surgery or where we were going until we arrived at the hospital and were in the waiting room. We figured there was no reason to upset her and let her worry about it any longer than necessary. Once we got her into her scrubs they had her drink some "happy juice". I wish we could get some of this for home! She was a little loopy, and didn't mind at all that quite a few nurses and dr.'s were looking at her head and touching it. Then they walked us to the door and we had to say goodbye. With her bug blankie in one arm and her baby doll in the other she was carried away. (Yes this is one of the hardest parts...watching them carry her away.) Well, about 60 minutes later the dr. came out and talked to us. It was the fastest surgery she has had yet. He said he felt really good about it and was able to get most of the original scar and the growth off. We went back into recovery where she was laying in her bed with her bite guard in her mouth. We sat there and waited for her to wake up. Well, apparently she got some really good drugs, because after a while one of the nurses came and woke her up. She hardly cried at all and did really good! (Much better than the previous screaming we have experienced). After she drank some apple juice we were good to go. We got her buckled in the car and headed home. When we were about 3/4 of the way home she started to cry and say the medicine was yucky. OH NO...I knew what that squirming meant. I grabbed the puke bucket, and got it there just a moment too late. I missed just a little, but caught a ton. Yah, I know...it's gross! Good thing Bridger had me sitting in the back with her on the way home. Poor girl, no one likes to throw up. We made it home and she's had more liquids and even some food and it's all stayed down so far! (We'll keep our fingers crossed.) She is doing so well and we are so grateful for that. I don't think she was this good until 3-4 days after her last surgery. So, for the next few days we will be watching every princess show ever made, along with just about every disney movie we own! WE LOVE YOU HAILEY! We can't wait until you are 100% back to your happy, silly, cheerful self!

"Take Me Out to the Ball Game..."

Yep, that's right... we actually stayed through the 7th inning stretch with 3 kids! Unfortunately the Astros didn't score until we were on our way to the car, but we still had a great time. It didn't hurt that we had free tickets, $10 in Astros bucks, and even found a free parking spot pretty close to the park.

Here are some pics we took with our phones of the kids enjoying the game:

Alisha was a trooper and came along because she knew if I took them by myself I'd probably come home with one less than I left with.

Making friends at the Minute Maid Squeeze Play Kid's Zone

Just couldn't resist climbing on round, smooth, concrete balls of 'can't imagine who's going to get hurt first'.

Both kids actually came up with plush Astros balls thrown to the crowd! Notice the pajamas... they are somehow still wide awake after 10:00 PM and think it's time for a good game of plush baseball tag.

Happy Birthday Carson!

I know, I know, I haven't posted in forever. I have a lot to catch up on. Just wanted to give a shout out to my 5 year old! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARSON! I missed posting on Hailey's birthday due to the craziness of getting ready for vacation...she's been 3 for a while now! Love you too sweetie!

My good friend snapped some cute shots of my kiddos a few weeks ago...had to post a few of my favorites!

Vacation: IDAHO

Just found this in drafts... I think Alisha meant to post it a while ago but probably never got back to it.

Here's what happened during the Idaho portion of our vacation: Fishing (two days for the boys), fair for the girls, fun with the horses, and lots of family time!

What do we do?

Sometimes one might wonder what we do all day when Bridger is at work. Well, we were extremely busy today making a movie.

Due to Londons young age I didn't think she was ready for this yet.

*Thanks Stephani for posting this on your blog. My kids have probably watched this a million times so far today!

Fun in the Sun

We had a fun filled day at the beach. We went down Saturday after Carson finished his t-ball. The kids loved the water and sand. Unfortunatly we brought home quite a bit in the van. :(

I guess this is a must do every month from now on!

Howdy Partner

Rodeo time is always a fun time. Sheriff Carson had a very busy day at preschool.

Cute Hailey wanted her picture taken too. This girl is all about the camera.
