First let me apologize to the grandparents because there are no pictures on this post. I know...I really need to take some pictures and get them up. Next - um yes there were two uniformed police officers at our door last night around 5:30 p.m. and yes it was totally my fault. If any of you have Smith Thompson Security...they work! I had the alarm set to Stay (like I always do when we are home) and the kids thought Daddy was home. The door opens, they go running out the door. I yell it's not him and come back. Carson and Hailey proceed to run down towards the corner. I am chasing after them. By the time we get back I realize....I never turned off the alarm. I turn it off and think nothing of it. The phone didn't ring. (Normally the company calls you to make sure everything is okay.) A few mintes later Bridger gets home and we start eating dinner. We look out our dining room window and there is a cop car in front of our house. Then two policemen are walking up to yes, our door. I keep thinking...why are they here? I answer the door and they tell me they were sent to check out an alarm going off and ask me if I know what happened. I realize what had happened and try to explain it to them. I don't think they understand what I am saying because for some reason I got really nervous, and for those of you who don't know...I talk like a million words a minute when I am nervous. So, I probably looked ridiculous and guilty of something else! :( They leave and I close the door. I ask B if we get in trouble with our security company for that and he said it depends. Some companies fine you for false alarms. I have a little bit of an emotional breakdown and cry. Yah, I am a baby... you should have seen my cry after I got my first (and only) speeding ticket! Why do policemen make me so nervous?
