URGH!
Sorry, just needed to vent a little. I know I already posted for today. If you don't want to hear me complaining please don't read this post. What is the deal? Carson has been potty-trained for a while. No accidents in well over a week. As of right now he's already peed twice on the carpet today. URGH! What is the deal. I know everyone says kids will have set-backs now and again, but I think he did it the 2nd time on purpose. Any ideas?
Tagged...AGAIN
I've been tagged again, but don't worry, this one is not about me! It's about my hubby!
1. What is his name? Bridger (well, that's his middle name, but it is what he goes by)
2. How long have you been married? It will be 5 years in June
3. How long did you date? 8 months
4. How old is he? 27
5. Who eats more sweets? Definitely ME!
6. Who said I love you first? Um...I'm pretty sure it was Bridger
7. Who is taller? Bridger
8. Who can sing better? Well, we are both awful singers so I don't know.
9. Who is smarter? Bridger, hands down!
10. Who does the laundry? Me
11. Who pays the bills? I pay the bills online through our account, but Bridger does most of the work on Quicken, so I guess we share the responsibility.
12. Who sleeps on the right side? Bridger. I know it is silly, but I always sleep closest to the door. I always have. I think it's so I can get the kiddos.
13. Who mows the lawn? Bridger, although I've mowed it a few times. I think Bridger doesn't like me to mow it because I always crush at least one sprinkler head when I mow...sorry!
14. Who cooks dinner? I usually do, but Bridger does the grilling. He is really great at entertaining the kids while I finish up dinner, and clean up.
15. Who drives? Bridger does. I do not like driving.
16. Who kissed who first? Bridger kissed me, but I kissed him right back!
17. Who asked who out first? Well, Bridger asked me out a few times, and I turned him down...but he was persistent. I said yes and I'm glad I did. (I was not being a brat...I was coming out of a serious relationship, and I knew he had a girl who wanted to marry him in Idaho...but he was sooo cute I couldn't resist! Bridger always teases me, if at first you don't suceed, try, try, try again!)
18. Who propsed? He did, and we have it on film!
19. Who has more siblings? We both have 3 siblings. He has three sisters, and I have two brothers, and one sister.
20. Who wears the pants? Usually I let Bridger wear the pants...haha, just kidding. He is the man of the house, but ocassionly, he lets me think I'm in charge!
Thanks for the tag Crystal. I now tag (if you want to do it) Anne, Erin Bailey, Kayla, Kenzie, and Tiffany.

MOMMY
"Mommy!" Definitely not what I was expecting to hear when I got home from game night last night just after 10. I greeted Carson and while walking upstairs to get him. I asked him where Daddy was. He said (in a whisper), "shhhh, Daddy's sleeping. He's sooooo tired. Come look." HAHAHA. There on the couch out cold was Bridger. Carson was supposed to be sleeping on the army pad on the floor I'm guessing. Carson had been a bit under the weather, and had taken a late afternoon nap, but still, I was not expecting him to be up. It was so cute. It reminded of a book we had checked out from the library titled NO NAP. Anyways, it's Friday!!! Everyone have a great weekend!

Another day
Just another day here at the Ashton household. Yes we are all still alive. We have been a bit under the weather lately, but nothing more than a few colds. Hailey had her 9 month check-up on Tuesday. I can't believe she is already 9 months old. Here are the stats for the grandparents: weight: 19 lbs. 50%, height: 28 1/2 in. 75%, head...no idea but it was in the 50%. She had a shot and a finger prick to check for anemia. I think everyone within a 5 mile radius heard her scream...she sure has a set of lungs from all that crying when she had colic. We played outside yesterday. I love the weather here. Below are a few pictures.
This picture is for the grandparents to show...yes, the lot across the street is STILL UGLY, still for sale, with nothing being done. What a lovely view we have.

This photo is for Great Grandma Ashton. Carson looks ADORABLE in his soccer outfit you sent him. Everyone always asks where we found a league for kids so young. Hehe...he just plays with mommy!

I am definitely no photographer....here are the best action shots I got.

At least I got her to look at the camera, I guess next I just need to work on the smile part!
I love this picture...Hailey is totally focused on an airplane flying by. She loves to look at the airplanes when we are outside.
FYI - I think we REALLY NEED TO WORK ON VALENTINE'S DAY NEXT YEAR folks. Did you look at the closing poll? COME ON....no one went on a date or did a fun activity with their significant other, 2 people did a movie, 4 people did dinner, and 8 people did NOTHING. Where's the romance?

Bucket List
So another semi-boring post. My friend Kayla posted that she saw the movie 'The Bucket List' and I just happen to have a list of things I want to do before I kick the bucket. I have had this list for a little while. I am currently working on 3 of them right now....and yes I hope to complete all of them before I kick the bucket!
1. Donate my hair to either "locks of love" or "pantene's beautiful lengths"
2. Run a marathon
3. Own a dog
4. Sit in the cockpit of an airplane during a flight
5. Visit the Sacred Grove
6. See all my children get married in the temple
7. Help the missionaries teach at least one person in my home
8. Travel to Australia
9. Go surfing
10. Volunteer at the temple
11. Meet my granchildren
12. Be a member of an audience in a TV Show
13. Vist all 50 states in the United States (18 down, lots to go!)
14. Learn to juggle
15. Meet the Prophet
16. Be debt free (Yes...includes home mortgage!)
17. Skydive
18. See the Yankees play at Yankee Stadium
19. Ride a mechanical bull
20. Visit the large statue of Christ in South America (Rio de Janero)
21. Serve a mission with my husband.
Right now I only have 21 on my official list, of course there are a million things I would love to do and a million places I'd love to visit...but only the top ones make it on the list. Do any of you have a list?

Valentine's Day
I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine's Day (or Single Awareness Day, your choice) yesterday. Our day was very eventful and full of fun.
I had to post this picture because this is how Hailey looks 98% of the time. We cannot keep her tongue in her mouth!

Our fun day started with a trip to the library. We had toddler story-time, toddler craft time, infant singing time, and checked out some books. Carson loves the library. When we got home Hailey went down for a late morning nap while Carson and I made cupcakes!

Although they all looked awesome, these ones were my favorites...very appropriate for Valentine's Day!

Daddy got home and we ate a FANTASTIC Valentine's Dinner (which I wasn't smart enought to take a picture of :( ) with candlelight. Carson kept saying Happy Birthday, but we tried to explain the difference to him. Who wouldn't get confused...candles and cupcakes, sounds like a birthday to me. Anyways - we had steaks on the grill, twice baked potatoes, artesian knot rolls, and corn. YUMM-O! For dessert...CHEESECAKE of COURSE! A little bubbly (that's what we call it..non-alcholohic sparkling juice) topped it all off. The kids went to bed and Bridger and I watched a chick flick. What a superb Valentine's Day!
(I know there have been a ton of pictures posted but hey, I don't hear the grandparents complaining!)

We played, played, played until we couldn't play anymore! We had fun outside although it was a little cold. We did some of Carsons puzzles, and put on silly music and danced. When Hailey went down for her afternoon nap Carson and I had craft time. We made some Valentines for Gramma & Papa Ashton and Gramma & Papa Gardner. I love how he calls them these names. He is getting really good with using Ashton and Gardner so I know who he is talking about too!
Yum!! Time to ice the cupcakes. We used pink and white frosting, and had an assortment of sprinkles! Carson was a big helper!

Rockets Game
Monday night we went to the Houston Rockets Game. It was really fun. Surprisingly the kids did well. Hailey loved it. She would clap her hands, yell, and wave her arms whenever there was an announcement or people cheered. Here are some photos:

Yes, the seats were nosebleeds, but it was a blast.

I've got a lot of growing to do if I want to fill these shoes!
In the kids area they have a court for the kids, it is awesome!

There is also a slide.
We rode to the game from the parking lot on this. There is someone on a bike in the front.

What a fun eventful night we had. We left before the game was over, but we still had a blast.
