SURPRISE!

Um..yah, what a shocker! I went to the doctor today. Good news... I GET TO GO TO FLORIDA! Yep, but I'm pretty much on bedrest there. Oh well, at least I get to go. If I start to bleed or cramp bad I'm supposed to go immediately to the nearest hospital. Now for the surprise...the ultrasound said it's a girl. YEP. What in the world? The ultrasound tech in the hospital at 16 weeks must have seen the cord because both the ultrasound tech and dr. yesterday said no doubt it's a girl. So - I guess we can throw that list of boy names we've been working on out the window. Lots of you were asking so now I'll share the boy names:
Easton
Sawyer
Dawson
Brayden
Justin
There were more on the list..but these were my favorites. Now, we get to start all over. Good thing we already have a bunch of girl names we love! We took Carson out for ice-cream last night to break the news to him. He was soooo excited when at 16 weeks we told him it was a boy. We were a little worried about how he would respond. He said, AWWW MAN, I was wrong, you were right mom. (Refering to guesses about the baby gender at 15 weeks). Then he said he didn't want to play with a baby girl. I told him the baby would be so little when she came out that we wouldn't play with her until she was older. He said okay, but I can tell he still isn't too happy about it! LOL! :)

It made me so sad....

I've been feeling a little down lately. I miss my kids a lot. I don't get to see them too much because my wonderful friends are taking care of them all day long while Bridger is at work. It is impossible to stay down with them here, and the doctor said the only time I should be getting up is to use the bathroom. :( The time I do get to spend with them we are laying on mommys bed watching shows or reading books, or trying to color pictures. I think it was Tuesday night when Carson said, "mom, our house isn't fun anymore. You aren't fun anymore." Yep, that hurt. I have tried talking to him about how mommy has to be really careful to protect the baby that is growing in her belly, and how the doctor wants everyone to be healthy and happy. But he's only three for crying out loud, he doesn't understand why his mom has suddenly changed.

I go to the dr. in less than one week. I really do think that staying down has helped me physically and I'm hoping the doctor thinks I'm healed enough for only modified bedrest. We are supposed to leave for our vacation next weekend. Any ideas on how to convince the doctor I really will do bedrest in Florida? I just want to go and see all the family. I would love it if everything was magically perfect, and I could go back to normal, but for right now I guess I just need to count my blessing and be thankful that nothing too serious has happened, and we are all okay. Thanks again to everyone who has helped out with meals, watching kids, and everything else.

Hailey's Kitchen

I told Bridger a while ago that I wanted to get Hailey a play kitchen for her birthday. He thought this was a great idea. So I started pricing them and holy crow are they expensive. So I told Bridger maybe we could do it as a combined gift for Carson and Hailey this Christmas. His reply, "let's just make one". I love my husband. I tell him my ideas, he tells me his and voila he draws up some awesome plans. The plan was we were supposed to make it together, but we had only cut the wood when I got put on bedrest, so B did most of it on his own. I did help add all the girly touches! So, don't look too hard, because we are not perfect and there are a few flaws, but here is Hailey's Kitchen, and she loves it!

Hailey's Kitchen in in her room...and yes she really does put it away and leave it alone when it's bedtime!

Hum, what is in here...?

Stiring up the food with a spatula.

Let me check in the oven.

Okay, even pretending to do dishes just isn't fun!

View of sink and counter.

View of stovetop and oven. We decided to go for the sliding curtains for the oven so the kids couldn't break off an oven door that you pull down.

This is her new favorite hiding place.

"I love my kitchen!"

We realize the kitchen is a little big for her, but we wanted her to be able to grow into it the next few years, and not have it be too small when she is 5 or 6!

Guess who's Two?

Yep, our little girl turned two on Tuesday. We celebrated her birthday a little early since Daddy was home for the weekend. She had a fun little party at the park last Thursday. Daddy helped with the party while Mommy sat on a pillow on the bench or layed on the grass. Here are just a few pictures...we'll post more later!

Hailey in her princess outfit from BreeBree.

Yum, Yum, Yum, gotta love cupcakes!

Hugs for some friends!

Carson is going to be the ring bearer for his Aunt Briana's wedding in June. Hailey is the flower girl. Well, we finally got Carsons whole outfit here and ready, here are the shots. He is soooo cute!

Alisha update: Thank you so much to everyone who has brought in meals, watched my kids, sent emails, letters, books, videos and packages, and those who have personally stopped by to visit. Yes, I'm sure you know I'm going a little mental cooped up in my bed all day, but you have all been such a serious help and blessing in our lives. Less than two weeks until I go to the doctor again for my checkup and ultrasound. I'm really hoping it will be great news since I've tried to stay down as much as the doctor told me to. We are supposed to leave for Florida two weeks from today. I realize that the doctor may tell me I cannot make the long drive in the car, but I'm hoping she will if I promise to be on bedrest in Florida and only attend the wedding. Hey, bedrest by the pool doesn't sound too bad! :) I don't want to rob my family of their awesome vacation they have lined up. Plus, we will have tons of family there to help out with the kids.

Three More Weeks

Yep, that's what the doctor said. Three more weeks of bedrest. Then another ultrasound and exam and we will evaluate from there. May be more bedrest, may be slowly start doing things. UGH. It's definitley worth the sacrifice though. I love my kids, and would do anything for them. All 3 of them! :)

My poor husband. That is my first thought. Not only does he have all of his father and husband responsibilites, now lets throw on all of the mom and wife responsibilites too. He's been such a trooper so far, and doesn't complain at all about all of the extra work and messy house. I love him so much!

My next thought, my poor kids. They are kids, they need to be able to run around and play. They need to be able to go outside and run and jump and dig in the dirt. They are being quite good considering I lay down pretty much all day. We have read lots of books, done lots of puzzles, colored pictures, and watched way too much tv.

Yep, so here I lay in bed with the laptop. A good friend must have been truley inspired to call me this morning and ask to take my kids. I hate asking for help. I have a hard time letting people help me. So thanks Kimberly! I bet my kids are having a blast with you!

I get so frustrated feeling helpless and not doing anything. I'm supposed to stay down as much as possible. I am fine with the no vacuuming, and doing dishes...but I can't even drive. So I can't drive my kids to a friends house. I can't run to the grocery store to grab something. I can't stand on my feet long enough to cook dinner. Good thing we have 8 freezer meals in the freezer right now. We are going to need them! :)

Sorry about all of the complaining. I really do have a lot to be thankful for. The baby is healthy right now...no problems with him. My family is awesome and so supportive of me and taking care of my health. I have awesome friends who have offered to help out if I need. So thank you!

I'm afraid I'm going to get sooooo bored. Anyone have any good book suggestions?
